The Nevada State Assembly is the larger of the two chambers that together comprise the Nevada State Legislature.  The Legislature enacts laws for the benefit of the public, lays the groundwork for carrying out those laws, and allocates money to fund the operation of government.  The Assembly’s 42 elected members serve two-year terms.  Each member is supported by a personal attaché, or assistant.


The Nevada Assembly is accepting applications for approximately 75 full-time, temporary staff to work the 2023 Legislative Session in Carson City.  The 2023 Session begins on February 6, 2023, and ends June 5, 2023.  Unless otherwise stated in the job description, training for these positions commences on January 3, 2023.  These positions are nonpartisan. Session employees are paid a daily rate (hourly rate of pay x 8) seven days per week while the Legislature is in session.  Prior to the Legislature convening and after the 2023 Session has ended, session employees are paid an hourly rate for actual hours worked.  Click here to learn more about the benefits of session employment.
