The Nevada State Assembly is the larger of the two chambers that together comprise the Nevada State Legislature. The Legislature enacts laws for the benefit of the public, lays the groundwork for carrying out those laws, and allocates money to fund the operation of government. The Assembly’s 42 elected members serve two-year terms. Each member is supported by a personal attaché, or assistant.
CURRENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Nevada Assembly is accepting applications for approximately 70 full-time, temporary staff to work the 2021 Legislative Session in Carson City. The 2021 Session begins on February 1, 2021, and ends May 31, 2021. Training for these positions commences on January 4, 2021. All positions with the Assembly are nonpartisan.

Session employees are paid a daily rate (hourly rate of pay x 8) seven days per week while the Legislature is in session. Prior to the Legislature convening and after the 2021 Session has ended, session employees are paid at an hourly rate for actual hours worked.
